NorthStar Communications Group Receives Top Safety Award

For Immediate Release.  March 9, 2006, Birmingham, Alabama:  NorthStar Communications Group's (NorthStar's) outstanding 2005 safety performance earned top honors in the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) - Alabama Chapter's second annual "Safe Day" safety competition.  NorthStar received the Eagle Award, representing ABC's highest level of recognition, in the "Specialty Contractor" category.

Entries were judged on a variety of factors, including each firm's 2005 safety record, an overall safety program assessment, and an evaluation of employer-provided safety and health training.  Additional safety initiatives taken by NorthStar, such as its "Zero Incidents" program and specialty training courses offered, helped differentiate the company from other entrants.

"This award reflects the commitment and culture around safety shared by the employees of NorthStar, our parent company BE&K, and our clients," said Bill Johnson, NorthStar's president and CEO.  Tom Anderson, NorthStar's senior vice president, added, "This marks the second year in a row that NorthStar has been honored by ABC's Alabama Chapter for our safety performance.  We want to express our appreciation to all of NorthStar's employees, who make safety their most important priority every single day on the job."

ABC will present the award to NorthStar at its Safety Awards Program banquet on Wednesday, April 5, 2006.
