NorthStar Communications Group Honored by AT&T as Outstanding Supplier

For Immediate Release.  June 28, 2006, Birmingham, Alabama:  For the fourth time this year, NorthStar Communications Group (NorthStar) has been recognized for its outstanding leadership and excellence in workplace safety and health.  NorthStar received the Safety Program of the Year "Saxcie" award in SafetyXChange's inaugural international safety industry awards program on June 13, 2006.  With the "Saxcies," SafetyXChange has created the only international safety industry awards program that honors both individuals and organizations for outstanding achievement in occupational health and safety.

"Safety excellence is about organizational commitment, hard work and follow-up.  NorthStar exhibits these qualities in spades," said Glenn Demby, Editor-in-Chief of SafetyXChange.  NorthStar's comprehensive safety program helps ensure that all employees and contractors recognize and accept the requirement to make safety everyone's most important responsibility.  A lost workday rate of 0.0 for 2005, and recordable incident rates of less than l.0 for 2004-05 are indications of the success of NorthStar's program.

In addition, NorthStar's Safety Director, David McConnell was selected as a finalist in this year's "Saxcie" competition as "Safety Hero of the Year."  Earlier this year, NorthStar received the Safety Award of Excellence, the Gold Level Safety Training and Evaluation Process award, and an Eagle award for excellence in safety from Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC).
